Breaking HIT News: Dr. Brailer Stepping Down as National Coordinator of Health and Information Technology

Just saw over at Christina's Consideration an announcement that Dr. David Brailer is stepping down from his position as National Coordinator of Health and Information Technology. At this time I don't see an official press release on the Office of National Coordinator of Health Information Technology (ONC) website.

I agree with Christina's comments that Dr. Brailer has done a good job of moving the nation and the health care industry in the direction of creating a uniform and interoperable health information system. My hope is that Dr. Brailer, a native of West Virginia, comes back to assist our state as we move forward on various statewide health information technology projects and initiatives.
